The Council of Metropolitan Police and Sheriffs (COMPAS) has endorsed Drew Stokesbary in his bid for State Representative. COMPAS represents King County Deputy Sheriffs, Seattle Police Officers, the Seattle Police Management Association, and King County Sheriffs Management. This is the third major law enforcement group to endorse Stokesbary, who had previously garnered the support of the Washington State Patrol Troopers Association and the Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs.
“I am incredibly honored to have the support of local law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line every day to protect our community,” said Drew Stokesbary. “Police officers and sheriffs deputies have very challenging jobs, and as State Representative, I will work hard to protect their salaries, pensions, and survivor benefits.”
COMPAS is a non-partisan advocacy organization that represents the largest law enforcement guilds in Washington State. COMPAS only represents currently-commissioned law enforcement officers. In addition to pension issues, COMPAS also follows legislation involving collective bargaining, criminal laws and procedures, L&I issues, and survivor issues (affecting families of fallen officers).
